Applefest 50 Coming Sunday at Tri-City Raceway Park
(Franklin, PA, September 15, 2021): A traditional season-ending event is making its return to Tri-City Raceway Park this Sunday, September 19. The Applefest Pro Stock Championship will pay a winner’s share of $3,500 which is one of the richest purses for the Pro Stock division this season. The 2021 Applefest will go for fifty laps, instead of the historic century grind.
In addition to the hefty winner’s share, there will be lap money paid and a growing number of contingency prizes.
The race will pit the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks against the best regional Pro Stock racers from the Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series.
Also on the card will be the 4 Your Car Connection Mini Stocks, with $500 being paid to the winner of that event. The Gary Glass Automotive and Washington House RUSH Sprint Cars will be in competition for their final appearance of 2021 at Tri-City. The RUSH Sprints will have a $800 payday awaiting the winner.
The Pit gates will open at 2 p.m. and the spectator gates will swing open at 4 p.m. Racing is set for 6 p.m.
Regular event ticket pricing will apply for the season finale. So, adults (ages 16 to 62) will be admitted for $15, and seniors (ages 62 and up) will enjoy the show for just $13. Student admission (for those ages 10 to 16) will be $10. Children (ages 10 and under) will be free.
