Rain Forces Postponement and Schedule Change at Tri-City Raceway Park

(Franklin, PA May 1, 2022):  Rain and the threat of thunderstorms during the peak racing hours forced the postponement of opening day events at Tri-City Raceway Park on Sunday, May 1.

“We had to adjust the schedule, too, because of the wetness leading up to this weekend,” said track owner Merle Black. “We have not been able to get onto the track to get it ready,” he explained.

Tri-City Raceway Park has pushed its opening date back to May 22. Black is hopeful that weather conditions will improve soon enough to enable him and his track crew to get the surface worked up properly for the new opening day.

May 22 will be a Sunday Thunder program consisting of the Shawgo Real Estate LLC 410 Sprint Cars, the Donovan & Bauer Auto Group 358 Modifieds, the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks, and the 4 Your Car Connection Mini Stocks. Watch the website and social media platforms for any changes.
