Tri-City Raceway Park Opens with Military Night Sunday

(Franklin, PA May 19, 2022): The 2022 racing season is set to start this Sunday, May 22, at Tri-City Raceway Park. “This will be a memorable opening night,” said track owner Merle Black. “Because we had to adjust our schedule due to weather, this will also be our Military Night, which means that all current and former members of the United States armed forces will receive free general admission with proper identification. “We appreciate all that our military has done and continues to do for us and this is our way of giving something back to our service men and women.”

This will be a Sunday Thunder program consisting of the Shawgo Real Estate LLC 410 Sprint Cars, the Donovan & Bauer Auto Group 358 Modifieds, the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks, and the 4 Your Car Connection Mini Stocks. “The drivers will be anxious to get going because we lost some events at the start of the season.” Black added. “The competition should be intense.”

All of the 2021 track champions are expected to be on hand to defend their titles. Brandon Matus will led the charge in the Shawgo Real Estate LLC 410 Sprint Cars, and Jeremiah Shingledecker will be looking to repeat in the Donovan & Bauer Auto Group 358 Modifieds. Curtis J. Bish will tackle a tough filed of Pro Stock drivers in his quest for another title under the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply banner. Justin Bailey will try to pick up where he left off in the 4 Your Car Connection Mini Stocks.

Regular event ticket pricing will apply. Adult admission, for those ages 16 to 62, will be $15. Seniors, ages 62 and up, will be admitted for $13. Student tickets will be $10 for those ages 10 to 16. The children, ages 10 and under, will be admitted for free. Family passes will be $45 and they will benefit two adults of any age and two students. Pit passes will be $30.
